Online Peer-to-peer session #3: Distributing your film

To be a successful artist or filmmaker, talent alone is not enough. Being a filmmaker means that about half of your time is spent on making sure you can actually make your film, such as writing applications, maintaining social media and building up a network. There is no handbook for these activities. How can you make it inspiring for yourself instead of a burden? That’s why we want to create a space where artists can exchange their experiences, obstacles and tips during three online Peer-to-peer sessions, each focusing on a different theme. Check out the facebook event.

It can be quite overwhelming to distribute your film, especially if you’re doing it yourself. How do you organize yourself? How do you network at a festival when there is a lot of competition? And how to deal with rejections? We’ll share various obstacles and experiences that you have run into when distributing your film, and how we can make it a useful activity for you as a filmmaker.
